Walking in the Norfolk Broads
The Norfolk Broads region has hundreds of miles of beautiful walks for both the serious long distance walker and those who prefer a shorter leisurely wander through the countryside. There are also a number of bridleways to cater for horse and cycle enthusiasts. A few days walking in Norfolk is an ideal way to combine a mixed boat hire and holiday cottage Norfolk holiday.
There are numerous circular walks of up to six miles in length. They offer a fantastic opportunity to explore Norfolk's unique wildlife, stunning fauna and diverse wild birds. Angles Way - starts at the mouth of the River Yare in Great Yarmouth and follows the Waveney Valley for much of it's 76 miles to Knettishall Heath, near Thetford.
Fen Rivers Way - 50 mile walk from Cambridge to Kings Lynn
The Great Eastern Pingo Trail - An 8 mile circular walk that explores the Pingo's formed around 20,000 years ago. (Pingos are low hills formed during the last ice age).
